To experience the best cuisine, you have to travel to a country that is known for its fabulous cooking. There are so many countries that have great food, so it can be overwhelming to choose which one to go to. Therefore, I’ve put together a list of countries that would be a feast for your eyes, mind, and stomach.

1. Bangladesh, the Land Where Street Food in Winter Tastes Divine

It’s uncommon for one to name Bangladesh as a land that’s surrounded with amazing food. However, when I went there for the first time, it definitely struck me as a land filled with mystery and love. Its busy streets, rocky buses, and amazing fresh markets give the whole environment a fantastic ambiance. One might think summer is the best time to visit Bangladesh, but it’s actually winter that shows the country’s beautiful secrets. Bangladesh is the one land that possess the most delicious street foods and a country that enjoys great yogurt and delicious “Chai.” My personal favorite would be “Fuschka.” It’s a plate of fried pasties filled with green chilies and onions that is dipped into a hot bowl of spicy tamarind sauce. This dish warms you up immediately and leaves you craving more. The best thing to accompany this plate would be a delicious cup of “chai.” However, if you’re not one to enjoy spices then “Bhapa Pittas” would be the next best alternative. A sweet pastry that’s steamed and eaten hot accompanied with brown sugar and coconuts shreds would be the perfect winter food. It tastes exactly like sponge cake, only lighter and more aromatic. The best place to purchase it would in the street carts or to ask a Bengali cook to make it for you. There are many delicious cuisines for foodies who are willing to explore beautiful country of Bangladesh. If you’re there take a trip to Cox Bazaar, one of the longest beaches in the world, you definitely won’t regret it.

2. Japan, a Land That Appreciates Good Table Manners

Japan, as we all know, is filled with classical and traditional values. They practice specific manners and respect every tradition that has helped form their lives. There’s a method to sit, eat, drink, walk and talk, hence this rules applies into enjoying every delicacy too. Japan is famous for one particular thing in the food world, and that is Sushi. A land surrounded by the ocean has made them one of the largest producers of fresh fish and unique sushi cuisines. Sushi is a delicacy that is loved by people all around the world. It’s a spread of fresh fish, thinly sliced on a bed of rice and dipped in a spicy blend of herbs. Anyone who loves food knows what good fish tastes like, and to taste the best fish, one must definitely visit Japan. Eat it with your fingers, three fingers in particular, and always dip the fish facing down. Plus, never over-indulge in soy sauce, and always clean your plate. Show your respect to the food, and you’ll be able to indulge in the best options available. Finally, the best sushi restaurant is below the Tokyo Subway Station, and if you’re there definitely ask for Chef Jiro to make you a feast.

3. Italy, Where Wine and Food Meet in Between

All around the world, Italy has been famous for its delicious wine, amazing cheese, and its subtle flavors. People love Italy for its beautiful language, and their ability to turn any cuisine from rags to riches. It’s famous for splurging its food with delicious cheese and pairing any food with the right wine. It’s known for its coffee, pastry, pizzas, and pastas. They say when in Italy, never look toward any fast food, and this is definitely true. The one food you should not miss is the delicious margarita pizza. Sometimes the simplest food tastes the best; in this case, it’s true. You’ll be able to taste the mellow tomato sauce and enjoy that beautiful coat of cheese. Take a moment, and pair it with a beautiful glass of wine. However, if you’re looking for something classy, then always go for the seafood risotto. The best part of Italy for you to be able to enjoy a nice plate of risotto for a reasonable price would be Sardinia. You’ll be able to enjoy the freshest sea jewels along with a beautiful view. Personally, I can say if you’re in Europe, make sure to head to Italy.

4. Philippines, a Land of Uniqueness

The Philippines is one of the Asian countries that combines both Asian and European cultures together. The Philippines used to be colonized by the Portuguese, hence they’ve adapted their culture and their food with a combination of Filipino and Portuguese influence. They are a country filled with beautiful people, amazing language, and delicious food, with the willingness to share with other nations. One of the most famous cuisines is the Balut. Balut is an unhatched bird fetus which is steamed and eaten with soy sauce. It’s a common delicacy, and for many Filipinos, it’s their breakfast. Its nutrients and protein give you the energy to proceed with your day. While some may find it disgusting, others find it amazing in flavor.
